Basic Skills
Every morning children complete a basic skills session. This lasts 15 minutes. The focus is on learning number facts, spelling, phonics, and handwriting. Children are able to practise these skills & to use and apply them so that they are better prepared for learning in school.

This is a new programme for Alma that focuses on improving children's literacy. It has four key elements:
V.C.O.P.
Vocabulary, Connectives, Openers & Punctuation
Children really enjoy this programme especially ' Kung Fu Punctuation' . Children learn exactly what they need to do to improve their writing.
